Banning a Forum User

On rare occasions, it might be necessary to ban a user, either permanently or temporarily.

Steps

  1. Find and click the user to display their member detail page.
  2. Go to Actions > Ban this User.
  3. Set the Expiration and Restriction settings as appropriate for the situation.
  4. For Triggers, leave only the email address and username selected unless the situation calls for a complete ban on the IP or Host.
  5. Click [Add].
